What Are The Best Vegetable To Eat To Gain Muscle

While a lot of people believe that the best food to eat when body building is protein and lean meat, vegetables play an equally important role as well. Vegetables have the ability to increase energy efficiency and give minerals and vitamins that will allow your muscles to contract properly and deal with the stress of oxidation. It will also be beneficial to know that there are vegetables that are rich in protein.

If you drink whey protein, then you probably know that many varieties of that supplement are made from soy protein. One serving of soybeans already contains 8 grams of protein. This has the ability to keep you full because it also contains 4 grams of fibre. This will prevent you from overeating.

Spinach is very rich in Vitamin E. Consuming vitamin E rich foods can benefit you because it will aid you in building lean mass. Spinach is one of the world’s healthiest foods. When you exercise, your body creates free radicals during the process of oxidation. Vitamin E prevents the ill effects of these free radicals. Building muscle can be pretty intense; you will need an efficient amount of Vitamin E to help your body recover.

There are many types of lentils. You can eat it alone, as a side dish, part of a soup or as an ingredient to a recipe. Lentils are one of the vegetables that are a great source of protein. I used the word great because one cooked cup contains 18 grams of protein. A 100 calorie serving of this vegetable already contains 7.8 grams of protein. Therefore, even little portions can already be very helpful to body builders.

Broccoli is very rich in calcium and is able to help in building muscle mass. One stalk of broccoli already contains 102 milligrams of calcium. One serving contains 6.8 grams of protein. Broccoli is one of my most favourite vegetables because it tastes really good because there are many dishes that you can use it for.

Beans are at the top of the protein rich vegetable list. One cup of boiled or cooked beans already contains 29 grams of protein. One cup of black beans contains 13 grams of protein while one cup of lima beans contains 10 grams of protein.

Peas

Peas, just like beans, are a good source of protein. A cup of chickpeas already contain 12 grams of protein. One cup of black eyed peas contains 11 grams of protein. Peas are a great addition to soup. This vegetable is therefore great for someone who is on a soup diet.
See, you can protein from other sources. This is important to the people especially those who are on a strict diet and are restricting themselves from eating meat. Also, vegetables do not contain fat. These foods are very good for the heart. They are low in carbs and are high in fibre. They are the perfect diet food! Go ahead and learn new recipes with vegetables. Vegetables are really delicious and real healthy. There is no reason I can think of for us not to indulge in this food.
